PRESCHOOL MINISTRY

Welcome to the Preschool Ministry of First Baptist Church. Our ministry to preschoolers begins laying the foundation for understanding of the purposes of the church: Worship, Ministry, Evangelism, Fellowship and Discipleship. We want to take advantage of the optimal learning time in each child's life. This goal is accomplished through all areas of our Preschool Ministry.

Preschoolers are able to learn about God's love through several ministries:

Sunday School- each week at 9:00 a.m.

AWANA- Wednesdays from 6:30-

7:45 p.m. (September through May)

Mothers Day Out-

(September through May)

Sunday School

The purpose of our preschool Sunday School program is to introduce young children to basic Bible truths in a fun, safe environment. Sunday School is available each Sunday morning for all preschool children. There are four classrooms including: Babies, Toddlers, 2-year-olds, and 3 & 4-year-olds.  The FBC Sunday School teachers are caring adults who prepare each week to give their best to each child.

Awana Clubs

Awana Clubs are offered to two pre-school age groups:

Puggles (2-year-olds) and Cubbies (3 & 4-year-olds) for children whose parents are attending Bible study at FBC.  Awana meets each Wednesday evening from September through May from 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. in the pre-school wing of the church. Puggles and Cubbies are discipleship programs that teach Biblical principles through stories, games, and bible verse memorization on a pre-school level.

Extended Session

Extended Session is a ministry available for children birth through 4 years of age during the Sunday morning worship service beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Pre-school employees of FBC and caring volunteers teacher the children each week. Volunteer work on a rotating schedule. Parents and grandparents of pre-schoolers are encouraged to serve as volunteers in Extended Session when possible. Extended Session is intended to extend, compliment, and build upon each child's Sunday School experiences.

Sunday and Wednesday Evenings

Preschool employees are available each Wednesday evening (during 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Bible Study) and each Sunday evening (during 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Bible Study) for children birth through age four.  This ministry gives parents an opportunity to attend Bible Study and church services with the confidence that their children are being cared for in a safe and loving environment.
