WELCOME TO THE

FBC SHERIDAN WEBSITE

We are a Southern Baptist church located in Sheridan, AR

Our church family exists to love God and others by making disciples who abide, pray, worship, grow, and serve.

The Bible tells us church members are family. God is our Father, we are His children, and we are brothers and sisters in Christ. As a family, we are committed to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love others as ourselves (Mark 12:29-31). We believe the best way to show our love for God and others is to follow the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus, who commanded us to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey Him (Matthew 28:18-20). Being a family of disciples of the Lord Jesus means that we:

  • Abide-We find our identity and significance in Jesus alone. Someone who abides is in an ongoing ever-growing intimate relationship with Jesus.
  • Pray-We pray according to Scripture; primarily for God’s will to be done.
  • Worship-We worship in all that we do wherever we are.
  • Grow-We grow in obedience, grace, and knowledge according to God’s Word both individually and corporately.
  • Serve-We serve one another and the lost primarily by making disciples as well as meeting physical needs.

Our church family gathers for Worship at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday morning. We worship God through reading, singing, memorizing, praying, and proclaiming God’s Word. Our worship exists for us to declare God’s greatness and grow closer to Him. Sunday School Groups are also vital to our mission. They meet at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday morning, and provide the opportunity for people to connect in a more intimate environment. We spend time praying, challenging one another to share our faith in Jesus, and growing deeper through owning and obeying God’s Word. Sunday School Groups mature in their faith as they serve together as disciples of our LORD Jesus Christ.

We invite you to join us! Please browse through the various areas of our website to learn more about the ministries of our church.
